Pixi has been on a roll with their new releases this year and I have really enjoyed dabbling in more of their makeup items. Summertime is all about ‘less is more’. Especially when it comes to makeup. I am all about fresh looking natural makeup throughout the warmer months. Not just because it’s more youthful but also because in the heat any heavy makeup will just melt off. This summer, Pixi Beauty launched the new Sheer Beauty collection* consisting of lightweight sheer cheek gels, and gel tint + silk gloss duos. Aiming to help enhance your natural beauty while letting your skin breathe…
Available in 3 shades:
Blushes are something I wear on a day-to-day basis as I find them to be youthful looking. As a mom of 4 kids I often look tired and fatigued. So a little pop of colour on the cheeks really can help put life back into my complexion. The Pixi Sheer Cheek Gels* really help to add a beautiful long-lasting, natural pop of colour to the cheeks. Adding dimension and a beautiful lit-from-within glow. The gel blushes are incredibly light-textured and blend seamlessly into the skin, making these perfect for those who don’t like blush or are scared of over doing it. They are super easy to apply. Simply tap on the apples of the cheeks for a natural instant flush. My personal favourite is the shade Natural, which is a beautiful mauve-rose pink shade. The only downfall i have with the cheek tints is the use of not 1, but 4 parabens as their preservative.

A combination of a long-lasting lip tint/stain on one end and a hydrating silk lip gloss at the other. Available in 3 colour combinations –
• Beach Tint & Fresh Gloss (a rusty maroon tint & sheer orange gloss) – Link
• Pink Tint & Silk Gloss (fuchsia tint with a glitzy sheer baby-pink gloss) – Link
• Berry Tint & Sweet Gloss (a sheer berry tint with a nude mauve gloss)- Link
The shades are pretty versatile and can be worn layered or separately. This lip duo delivers on colour, hydration and shine. The tint has a silky consistency and the mint scented gloss isn’t at all sticky. My personal favourite is the Berry Tint & Sweet Gloss as I am a huge lover or mauve shades. I find both to be hydrating on the lips.
